The heavy silver gilt platter presented by Tsar Alexander I to Magdalen College at Oxford when he paid a visit, in the company of the King of Prussia and the Prince Regent of England, to celebrate (a bit prematurely) their victory over Napoleon – one of Oxford’s great treasures.
